Gimpanzee filly out of Hall of FamerSouthwind Serena arrives at Hunterton

A daughter of Hall of Fame broodmare Southwind Serena arrived on Saturday (March 9) at Hunterton Farm in Kentucky.
The filly — Southwind Serena’s first by Gimpanzee — is a half-sister to Hall of Fame filly Mission Brief (t,3,1:50.2f $1,599,587) and 2023 USHWA Sire of the Year Tactical Landing (t,3,1:50.2m $812,300).
Southwind Serena, a 20-year-old daughter by Varenne out of the Pine Chip mare Spice On Ice, has seven registered foals and was USHWA’s Trotting Broodmare of the Year for 2018. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame in Goshen, NY, in 2019.
