Östersund in Sweden and Oslo in Norway will play host to some interesting races.

The $110,000 Jämtlands Stora Pris is first on Saturday (June 10) and it’s a strong 10-horse field that will meet in Östersund.

Australian Elitloppet contender Just Believe (who made a break in a tight situation in his elimination at Solvalla) is still in Sweden and will make the journey north Saturday for the prestigious race. Hail Mary and Brother Bill are two other Elitloppet participants that will fight for the trophy over 1.3 miles.

OSLO GRAND PRIX ON SUNDAY

In Norway, the $180,000 Oslo Grand Prix is the main course on Sunday’s (June 11) menu and the race is open and quite unpredictable. Five-year-old trotters Seven Nation Army and Get A Wish, both from Bo Westergaard’s barn, drew the best posts; 1 and 2 behind the gate.

Elitloppet finalist Stoletheshow will start behind horses, from post 9, driven by his trainer Frode Hamre this time. Well merited Moni Viking and Aetos Kronos both come from a start in the 3,140 meters Harprer Hanovers at Solvalla and a summary of the Oslo Grand Prix unfolds in a battle where basically every participant can win.

ETONNANT INVITED TO FINLAND

Richard Westerink’s Etonnant will take his next step in a race in Finland, in the $215,000 Kymi GP in Kouvola.

The race is scheduled for June 18 and Etonnant will face Callmethebreeze and Global Withdrawl, who are the only invited trotters for the race at this moment.

Etonnant won his Elitloppet elimination at Solvalla on May 28, but made a break in the home stretch in the final. The distance in the Kymi GP is 1.3 miles.
