John Butenschoen talks breaking yearlings with Heather Wilder.

Heather Wilder and our HRU video crew had a chance to drop in a bit earlier than normal with trainer John Butenschoen for a sneak peek for our 2025 Twos in Training series.

At Southern Oaks Training Center Butenschoen’s yearlings were fresh off the trailer from Harrisburg and we joined him for Day 3 of working with these youngsters.

There was action all around as different trainers were getting started with the yearlings in various stages. Enjoy this look into John’s process of working with these babies and we will see how they progress when we rejoin him in early spring for our Two’s In Training video series.
