by Jeff Fought

The first foal by Ohio Triple Crown winning and Breeders Crown runner-up Gulf Shores p,3,1:50.3f $653,270 has been born. Cornerstone Stock Farm is the owner of the colt and he was born at Winterwood Farm in Bellville, OH. The foal is the first for the Well Said mare Well Maxine, who is from a full sister to world champion and million dollar winner Kikikatie.

Gulf Shores bred a Minnesota record-breaking number of mares in his first season in 2023. Resulting foals will be eligible to the rich and growing Minnesota Breeders’ program, as well as the California Sire Stakes. Having no mare residency requirements in Minnesota, the foal from Well Maxine will be triple eligible, also being Kentucky bred.

Gulf Shores once again stands in Minnesota for 2024 at Bluff Country Equine.
