The 2025 Standardbred Horse Sales Company auction in Harrisburg, PA delivered a week of record-setting results and emotional milestones. The yearling sessions opened strong with Climatic Hanover selling for $725,000 and Seven Pledges for $700,000, setting a tone of selective but confident spending. Despite early fluctuations, overall figures stayed steady, with Hanover Shoe Farms leading consignors and buyers like Andrew Harris and Ake Svanstedt driving demand for elite bloodlines.

By week’s end, the sale reached an all-time record gross of $74.6 million. Armitage Farm emerged as a new powerhouse with million-dollar mares Kadena and Date Night Hanover, while Preferred Equine shattered its own record at over $31 million in total sales. It was, as President Dale Welk put it, “a once-in-a-lifetime week” for the harness racing industry.
