Huntsville colt One Adam Twelve tops Goshen Yearling Sale

The 2026 edition of the Goshen Yearling Sale was held Monday (Sept. 14) at the Mark Ford Training Center in Middletown, NY. During the session, which kicked off at noon, 123 of the 130 yearlings cataloged sold for a gross of $1.66 million, signaling a $13,520 average.

Huntsville colt One Adam Twelve topped the session, bringing a $77,000 final bid. Consigned by Cameo Hills Farm, the bay is out of Artsplace mare One Last Kiss, who has produced six winners from seven foals including world champion Kiss Me Onthebeach and sophomore Say Goodnight, recently runner-up in the $300,000 PASS final for filly pacers. Cataloged as Hip #113, One Adam Twelve was purchased by Mark Ford.

A total of 10 babies by Huntsville sold during the session, averaging $22,050.

A pair of Crazy Wow progeny followed the sale topper in the results. Brother Lucas was hammered down for $50,000, while Jamari fetched $35,000. Brother Lucas, part of the Leatherstocking Equine consignment, is a full brother to $500,000 winner Sister Mary Maude. His dam, Perfect Mass, is a sister to two-time O’Brien Trotter of the Year Perfetto. Ron Harp signed for the colt as an agent.

Jamari, Hip #92 in the sale, is a colt that is eligible to both the New York and Kentucky programs. Consigned by Silver Tradition Stable, he is the first foal from Muscle Hill mare Lindy’s Paloma, sister to six-figure earner I’ll Have A Lindy and sophomore Onemorenkickmeout, now an eight-time winner with $87,735 on his card. Paul Kelley purchased the colt, one of his three acquisitions of the session.

Crazy Wow had the largest contingent in the catalog with 27 yearlings. The group averaged $16,426.

A pair of yearlings from the first crop of Cannibal landed within the top 10 sold on the day. Going Savage, a Leatherstocking Equine entry, brought $33,000, while Cherie Blue Chip, sold for $28,000. Cataloged as Hip #100, Going Savage is a New York and Massachusetts eligible colt from 100 per cent producing So Surreal mare Shesgoingoinggone. He was purchased by Our Three Sons Racing. Filly Cherie Blue Chip, Hip #98, is also dual eligible to New York and Massachusetts. From the Blue Chip Farms consignment, she is the second foal from an Art Major mare and her pedigree page includes 2022 Horse of the Year Bulldog Hanover.

Fifteen yearlings sired by Cannibal sold, producing a $14,213 average.

Cameo Hills Farm led all consignors in both the number of yearlings sold and gross sales. The group of 37 farm and agent babies generated sales of $612,500, good for a $16,554 average. Blue Chip Farms topped consignors in sale average, with eight yearlings selling for $138,000 while averaging $17,250.

Leatherstocking Equine sold 24 yearlings for $321,200 ($13,383 avg), a group of 21 yearlings from Winbak Farm brought $297,500 ($14,167 avg), while eight from Silver Tradition Stable garnered sales of $110,500 ($13,813 avg) and two dozen consigned by Eric Taddeo brought $177,200 ($7,383 avg).

Total sales were up slightly over the 2025 mark of $1.636 million, but the result was reached with 14 more yearlings passing through the sales ring. Monday’s average indicated a nearly 10 per cent decrease from the $15,009 mark of one year ago. Those decreases continued when breaking down the results by sex and gait. A group of 27 trotting colts averaged $17,019 (21 for $17,619 last year) while 30 trotting fillies averaged $13,557 (27 for $14,796 in 2025). On the pacing side, 33 colts averaged $13,218 (28 for $14,571) and 33 fillies averaged $10,924 (33 for $13,894).
