Swedish-bred Maharajah (Viking Kronos) and French champion Ready Cash (Indy de Vive), both born in 2005, continue to play the lead roles in the European breeding business.

The two top trotting sires battled against each other in Paris several times and with hindsight, it’s clear that Maharajah and Ready Cash are two very significant horses key to helping the breed improve.

Ready Cash has played a more significant role as a sire in Europe and among his many offsprings, many are ready to take over the throne as the best stallion in France. Maharajah, on the other hand, will have to rely on just a few sires with his blood in their veins. Still, Maharajah is the leading sire in most of the European countries and his amplitude with big, well-spread crops basically all over Europe, will most certainly put him on top of the sires’ list even in the years to come.

When it comes to Ready Cash’s sons working as sires, they have together collected many significant races all over the continent and Readly Express, just to mention one of them, already has top trotters like Honey Mearas, Bullet The Bluesky, Calgary Games, Daim Brodda, Stens Rubin and Indy Rock among his best offspring.

In Germany, S.J.’s Caviar knocked down Love You from the throne and a shift was also made in Denmark, where Ens Snapshot took over the first place from long-time champion sire Great Challenger. Light Kronos continues to be the best stallion in Austria and, in a tight battle, Offshore Dream defended his title as the best sire in The Netherlands.
