Kentuckiana proud to offer the best conformed yearlings it has ever sent to auction

by Dave Briggs

Bob Brady said Kentuckiana will offer “the best group of conformed yearlings that we’ve ever had” at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale. “It’s a very correct bunch and we’re very happy with that.

“We’re buying and raising better quality and better conformed mares and stallions. That’s what we hope for – a correct, high-quality yearling.”

Brady a co-owner of Kentuckiana is bullish on his entire consignment of just over 100 yearlings — 30 of its own and 73 Kentuckiana is selling as an agent.

“We’re very happy with our consignment and the quality certainly moved up every year, so it’s moving in the right direction,” he said.

“We have 19 selling on the first day. Obviously, we have a great mix of Chapter Sevens, Walners, Muscle Hills and we’re very excited about first-year stallion Greenshoe… We’re very heavy with the trotters. We’ve got 70 trotters and 33 pacers.”

Brady pointed out a number of Kentuckiana yearlings.

Hip 86 Skydiver — “The second foal, first colt, out of Arianna G. He is a beautiful Greenshoe colt, a phenomenal colt.”

Hip 111 Diplomacy — “A Muscle Hill out of That’s All Moni. He’s an extremely nice colt.

“We have four Chapter Seven colts. They are all very nice. It hard for me because I have so many consignors, that I don’t want to leave out somebody.”

Hip 74 Stardust Volo — “A Muscle Hill filly out of Sterling Volo. This is a sister to Lily Stride and she’s an exceptional yearling. We’re very proud of her.”

Hip 6 Force Of Nature — “Is a beautiful Chapter Seven filly. First foal out of a Credit Winner mare named Bedit On Credit.”

“We’re very, very proud of our group of yearlings. We have the right stallions out of the right mares this year and it’s one of those years where the individual matches the page. The top-quality individuals match the pedigree page. I think that’s really important,” Brady said.
