Face Time Bourbon is back

by Thomas Hedlund

Sébastien Guarato’s 6-year-old Ready Cash son Face Time Bourbon, by many fans considered the best trotter in Europe (or even the world) at this moment, will return to the racetrack this weekend and the entourage around the horses aims for Italy and Naples.

Two times Prix d’Amérique winner Face Time Bourbon is an important attraction with tracks slowly opening their gates all around Europe and the spectators in Naples will get an opportunity to see several top horses in the three eliminations of $765,000 Gran Premio della Lotteria, where Face Time Bourbon shows up from post 5 in the first heat.

Title defender Zacon Gio is in the game, as well as the summer meeting dominant Vernissage Grif.

German dominance at Jägersro

Two German trotters stole the show when $135,000 Breeders Course final for 2-year-olds was held at Jägersro racetrack on Wednesday (Sep. 29) night.

Dion Tesselaar hit the lead with his Gio Cash (Victor Gio) and got company on the outside from another German bred trotter, Look Of Love D.E.

These two horses proved to be better than the rest and leader Gio Cash had no problem in defending himself from the outside challenger.

The mile rate of 1:57.3 equals the previous Swedish record for 2-year-old colts and geldings bred outside of Sweden and most of all this triumph stated that German breeding stands strong at the moment.
