The field for the Oct. 10 Yonkers International continues to take shape.
The connections of 2015 Elitlopp Magic Tonight have informed Yonkers officials they will pass the race. Yonkers Racing Secretary Steve Starr said they informed him that with their horse not in top form right now they have decided to pass. He was to represent Sweden, and his place in the line-up will be taken by On Track Piraten. He is 19 for 74 lifetime and coming off a fourth-place finish in the Gr. I UET Masters Series Final in France.

“He’s a good horse who has been racing well against the very best in Europe, like Timoko, Oasis Bi and Creatine,” Starr said.

On Track Piraten is the 2015 Prix du Luxembourg winner.

Starr said he has also gotten commitments from French star Timoko, Bee A Magician, and an Italian horse named Rod Stewart and a Credit Winner horse named Seabiscuit. Seabiscuit races in Finland and just won the Finnish Derby.

Other horses considering the race are Creatine and Oasis Bi. Starr said other invitations will be handed out after this Saturday’s Maple Leaf Trot.
