The Forest City Yearling Sale recorded the highest average in at least 16 years ($26,364) Sunday afternoon (Oct. 23) at the Metroland Media Agriplex at The Western Fair District in London, ON. The gross of $3,480,000 was the highest since 2011 (when 134 more horses were sold).
“I’m blown away. I knew we would be good, but I didn’t know we would be this good,” said sale manager Ann Straatman.
No wonder Dr. Ian Moore headed for the exits shortly after buying what turned out to be the two highest-priced yearlings sold.
