Hall of Fame trainer Jimmy Takter, who was diagnosed with a tumor in his spinal cord as first reported by HRU (full story here), said Saturday morning that doctors at New York University believe they can treat him with medication, not surgery.

“I’m very happy about that. I was scared of that surgery. I’m on Dexamenthasone now. I started this morning and feel a lot better. I would like to wait and not rush into this… Lexington here I come,” Takter said.
