Proven racehorses on offer at Sunday’s Summer Mixed Sale

Some 100 horses — including a 14-horse supplement — are scheduled to sell at the Tattersalls Summer Mixed Sale beginning at noon on Sunday (July 14) in the paddock at the Meadowlands Racetrack. Sale manager David Reid said the best part is about half of them have made starts in the last week, including 12 winners.

“A further 16 horses will race between Thursday and Saturday night,” Reid said, emphasizing the sale primarily features proven racehorses that will give buyers a strong opportunity to see a return on their investments.

Reid said potential buyers should look at updated past performance lines online here. Updated racelines, current through last Sunday, are also available on the Equineline app, at the end of the individual catalog pages.

“This sale has horses from all age groups which are racing and winning over all size tracks,” Reid said. “There is a diverse selection of horses.”

The sale will start with some interesting broodmares and a short yearling from the dispersal of Celebrity Farms, followed by the sale of eight 2-year-olds, more than 30 3-year-olds and about 30 older horses.

Reid’s Preferred Equine Marketing will sell more than 60 horses, while Northwood Bloodstock’s Bob Boni will sell more than 20.
