Dan Daley in video spotlight

Florida Hall of Famer and New York Sires Stakes regular Dan Daley was interviewed by HRU’s Heather Vitale at Palema Trotting in Vero Beach, FL about the New York-bred babies he has in training.

As Heather Vitale mentions right off the top in our latest Twos in Training video, it’s been an eventful couple of years for veteran horseman Dan Daley. In 2017, he suffered a punctured lung and broken ribs in a serious racing accident. A year later, he was inducted into the Florida Harness Racing Hall of Fame.

Yet, despite his long association with Florida, Daley is more closely aligned with New York. In the summer he is based at Vernon Downs from which he campaigns a stable of New York-breds on the famed New York Sires Stakes circuit.

Daley talks to Vitale about several of his promising youngsters and even shares the story of how he got involved in the harness racing business.

That interview is available now on the HRU YouTube channel.
