Christmas Eve stakes providing tickets to prestigious Prix d’Amerique

by Thomas Hedlund

Some of the best horses in Europe gather in Paris on Christmas Eve when two tickets to the prestigious Prix d’Amérique are at stake.

American-bred Wild honey (Cantab Hall) will try to make it to Prix d’Amérique when she contests the Prix Tenor de Baune for the 5-year-olds over 2,700 meters.

In the same race, horses such as Twister Bi (Varenne), Readly Express (Ready Cash) and Carat Williams (Prodigious) will also participate.

Wild Honey, Twister Bi and Readly Express are all close to having enough money in their bank accounts to enter the Prix d’Amérique without winning on Sunday in Paris. The winner of Criterium Continental for the 4-year-olds will receive a spot in the big race in the end of January, 2018.
